The only life worth living is a life worth dying for.
Something to Consider
I wonder if there was ever a Saint in the history of the world who was able to attend daily Mass and simply chose not to.
Not a guilt trip, just an invitation to reconsider your priorities. If the purpose of your life is to be a saint, what’s stopping you? Maybe daily Mass is impossible for you. But if it’s just that you’re lazy or busy or easily bored…think about that.

I'm a Catholic, madly in love with the Lord, His Word, His Bride the Church, and especially His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Eucharist. I'm committed to the Church not because I was raised this way but because the Lord has drawn my heart and convicted my reason. After 2 degrees in theology and 5 years in the classroom, I quit my 9-5 to follow Christ more literally. Since May of 2012, I've been a hobo for Christ; I live out of my car and travel the country speaking to youth and adults, giving retreats, blogging, and trying to rock the world for Jesus.

What a timely reminder, Meg! I have a friend who was ordained deacon this year. He recently said he hasn’t seen me at daily Mass lately, so with his encouragement, I went to daily Mass today. Thank you too for the reminder – what a gift we have in the Mass <3
I remember reading where St Frances de Sales was talking about too frequent communion.. Do you think that was a specific-to-a-certain-audience message though? Or do you need a reference to be able to read the context? I’ll have to go find that… (and this isn’t my way of an excuse, just happened to remember it when I read this!)
I keep saying that when my kids are older, we’ll try to get to an extra Mass each week. It’s one thing for us to be teaching them to behave properly at weekend Masses, but I worry that having them at a daily Mass (with the smaller, more devoted crowd) would just be so distracting for others. There are many days, though, when I know I could use the graces of having been there! Abbey @ Surviving Our Blessings recently posted…Five-Minute Friday: Lost
